Announcements
We are delighted to announce the reopening of our lovely pub in Sutton-on-the-Forest, The Rose and Crown.
Malcolm & Eileen Goodwin are the new leaseholders. For many years they ran a very successful wine bar in the heart of York and recently have been helping out at Quinn’s in Haxby. They have had a long line of successful businesses and we believe they are the perfect pairing to bring the Rose & Crown back up to its former glory. Rosie & I wish them every success.
The pub officially reopened on 14th November 2024 after more than two and a half years of closure. We hope you will visit & lend your support and we greatly look forward to your comments and reviews.

Short Breaks
We generally don’t offer short breaks. They may be available on request (minimum stay 5 nights) depending on availability at certain times. Price on application.
Our Charges
Our charges are continually under review to ensure value for money. We are committed to improving the quality of the experience for guests at Pear Tree House and hope that you will consider that our prices are very competitive.
Alternative Accommodation
In the unfortunate event that Pear Tree House is unavailable during the period in which you are interested, our other holiday cottage, Fox Cottage in Helmsley, North Yorkshire, may be available.
